Care and maintenance
The proper care and maintenance of pearls is essential to prolong their shelf life and luster. Regular wearing is essential to keep the pearls lustrous. The natural oils of the body can enhance their luster. Harmful chemicals should never be allowed to come in contact such as makeup, perfume, bleaches, hairspray etc. Even household products that contain chemicals need to be kept away from pearls.
